CANCELLATION POLICY

NON PEAK PERIODS, PEAK PERIODS, GROUP BOOKINGS & SPECIAL DATES

All reservations require valid credit card details and payment is taken before arrival. Full payment is collected within the first 1 to 72 hours of a booking being placed. Please note additional terms and conditions listed below for long stays, multiple room bookings and key dates. A 1-month cancellation policy applies, which means no refunds or date changes will be given within one month of arrival. 

OUR POLICIES
Staying with us here at the Harbour View Motel and booking directly with us or through any third-party booking platform signifies you will abide by the current Harbour View Motel terms & conditions.

Reservations are only confirmed when full payment has been made, and a valid credit card is on file for the duration of the stay. The Harbour View Motel reserves the right to cancel any reservations where credit cards are invalid, declined, or payments have not been paid in accordance with these terms and conditions.

PAYMENT
Peak and Non Peak Periods
Full payment is collected within the first 1 to 72 hours of booking being placed or before arrival at minimum. Please note additional policies listed below for long stays, multiple room bookings and key dates. A 30 day cancellation policy applies, which means no refunds or date changes will be given within one month of arrival. 

Long Stays (4 nights or more)
Full payment is collected within the first 1 to 72 hours of booking being placed. Please note additional policies listed below for long stays, multiple room bookings and key dates. A 1-month cancellation policy applies, which means no refunds or date changes will be given within one month of arrival. 
Peak Periods are all public holidays, long weekends and all school holidays. Along with ‘Special Date's’ for Robe that differ each year. events being, Robe Boat Show; Lucindale Field Days, Robe Beer Festival.

CANCELLATIONS
Any cancellations or modifications made inside payment windows result in forfeit of the total amount of the stay (refer to payment policies listed above for applicable payment windows for your stay). Applies also to “no shows” or “change of mind”.
At the Managers discretion a credit may be given to a guest that has cancelled. Should the guest book through a third party booking channel (Booking.com Airbnb etc), this credit will not apply to that account but will remain on file as a direct credit for the Harbour View Motel.
Refunds are only made through the same form/method that the payment was made - should this form/method change due to card expiry or cancellation we do follow a very strict anti-fraud policy, meaning refund can take up to 14 business days to process as we verify your ID.

CHANGE OF MIND / ‘NO SHOW’
At Harbour View Motel, we understand that plans can change unexpectedly. However, to ensure fairness to all guests and maintain the efficiency of our operations, we enforce the following policies regarding 'No Show' and changes of mind:


No Show Policy:
A 'No Show' is defined as any reservation for which the guest does not arrive at the motel and fails to notify us of cancellation.
In the event of a 'No Show', the full amount of the reservation will be charged to the provided credit card.


Change of Mind Policy:
Guests who decide to change their plans / leave earlier than the booked departure date / choose to reduce the length of stay before arrival (within 30 window) will not be eligible for a refund.
Any unused nights of the reservation will be charged at the originally agreed upon rate.

CREDIT CARDS
Accepted credit cards: Mastercard and Visa. A 1.75% surcharge will apply to all cards.

IDENTIFICATION
A current driver's license or passport, or other government issued ID must be presented upon check-in.

RATES
Rates are subject to change.

CHECK-IN/OUT
Check-in time is from 2pm Check-out time is 10am at the very latest.
Early check-ins/late check-outs are subject to availability & must be arranged before arrival/departure. Fees apply.

PARKING
One car only per room is permitted to park on the property. Extra cars must park on street. We do not have parking available for trailers on the property.

NO SMOKING

In accordance with SA legislation, The Harbour View Motel is a 100% smoke free property. No smoking is allowed anywhere on the premises. A $200.00AU penalty will apply to smoke-affected rooms, and the credit card on file will be charged.

NO PARTY POLICY
The Harbour View Motel has a strict no-party policy. For the consideration of other guests, disruptive noise, excessive drinking, or large gatherings will not be tolerated. We reserve the right to evict any guest or group displaying anti-social behaviour with no refunds considered.

MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY
In accordance with law and fire safety regulations, only the maximum designated number of occupants per room is permitted. Sleeping on the floor or on couches is strictly prohibited, and additional people will be asked to leave.

REFUSAL OF ENTRY
Management reserves the right to refuse entry based on prior behaviour or eviction from other accommodation providers.

AGE
During our Peak Season (Dec 20th - Jan 31st) only guests over the age of 21 (unless accompanied by an parent/caregiver) are permitted to reserve accommodation. Minors must be accompanied by an adult at all times. The Harbour View Motel does not accept Schoolies bookings, and proof of age will be requested at check-in.

LOCATION / PHOTOSHOOTS
Commercial photography or filming is not permitted without Management approval. The Harbour View Motel is open for location hire at request. All enquiries must be submitted in advance to management and terms negotiated before arrival.

PETS
We understand that your pets are a part of your family and we are delighted to welcome them to Harbour View Motel. To ensure a pleasant stay for all guests, we kindly ask you adhere to the following policies listed below:
Pet Friendly Rooms: Pets are allowed in designated Pet Friendly rooms. Please inquire about the availability oof these rooms at the time of booking.
Pet Fee: A flat-rate fee of $20.00 per night per room will be applied for all guests travelling with pets.
Damage and Cleaning Fee: Guests are responsible for any damage caused by their pets. An additional cleaning fee, up to $250.00, may be charged if the room requires excessive cleaning due to pet-related issues.
Guidelines for Pet Owners: Pets should be kept on a leash or in a carrier while in common areas. Please DO NOT leave pets unattended in the room. If you need to leave your pet alone please inform the staff at reception. Ensure that your pet does not disrupt other guests.
Pet Waste: Pet owners are responsible for cleaning up after their pets. Waste Disposal bags are available at the front desk.
Agreement: By Bringing your pet to Harbour View Motel, you agree to adhere to our pet policy and accept responsibility for any damages or disturbances caused by your pet.
Please note, designated pet-friendly rooms are subject to availability. It is compulsory to inform the motel at time of booking if you plan to bring a pet. We appreciate your cooperation in making HArbour View Motel a pet-friendly destination. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact our reception.

LOST PROPERTY
The Harbour View Motel assumes no responsibility for lost property. Items found after departure will be held for one week and then donated to charity. A minimum fee of $20 will be charged to return items plus postage.

ADDITIONAL
Additional charges will be applied to the credit card on file for the following; use of extra bed in ‘Suite’ /Twin rooms ($15.00AU fee is charge to cover cost of linen and housekeeping) any breakages or damage to the property, missing items, late departure and extra cleaning.

CHANGE OF SERVICE
The Harbour View Motel reserves the right to change or modify the booking, products, rates, services, and terms described at any time without notice and without liability.
